Meet your Specialist:

For more than twenty years, Aimee has helped individuals and families navigate Canada’s health and social programs—turning complexity into step-by-step action. She has worked across the continuum of care: acute care (Emergency, ICU, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Prenatal, Palliative, Rehabilitation, Medical Specialty Units, Dialysis, Geriatric Psychiatry), community and public health, medical homes and primary care networks, and private practice.

Aimee’s practice is guided by the Social Determinants of Health and a trauma-informed, person-centred approach. She specializes in disability navigation (DTC, CPP-D, provincial PWD), provider-ready client narratives, and health-literacy coaching that respects each person’s pace and dignity. Her system-level work includes advising the Province on disability and access to care, and teaching and inspiring Social Work practice to strengthen person-centred practice across the next generation of clinicians.

Her contributions have been recognized with leadership and person-centred care awards. Beyond credentials, Aimee brings deep lived experience: as a mother of five adult children—including two social workers and a mental-health advocate—and as a parent to a daughter with Down syndrome and a son on the autism spectrum. That perspective keeps her practice practical, compassionate, and focused on what works for real people.

Outside of work, you’ll find Aimee with family (and Chai the German Shepherd), reading, or grounding in nature—on the coast, in the forest, or in a river. She believes social justice is a right, and her private practice exists to make systems more accessible—one person, one application, one win at a time.
